NOTICE
Tickets / Entry
- Timed Ticket Entry is implemented to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Tickets are valid only for the designated day and time and cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- Entry time slots available for online purchase:
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
11:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Saturday) / 5:00 PM (Sunday) (Entry must be at least 30minutes before event ends) - Guests must not line up more than 15 minutes before their assigned entry time.
- Two entry gates: Main Entry Gate (off Oak Street) and West Entry Gate (west side of the parking lot).
- Customer Service and Box Office inquiries are handled at the Main Entry Gate.
- Children aged 4 and under are admitted free of charge.
- Patrons requiring an Attendant can request a complimentary ticket.
- Ticket prices exclude platform fees, GST, and credit card processing fees.
- Tickets must be purchased online; door purchases also require online processing.
- Garden Member members can buy discounted event tickets in advance, but discounts do not apply to guests.
What to Bring / Prohibited Items
- The event is rain or shine; guests should dress accordingly.
- Limited outdoor seating is available; blankets may be brought for picnicking.
- Strollers must be used throughout the day as there is no stroller parking.
- Guests should have their tickets ready on a mobile device or printed for scanning.
- Valid membership cards are required for Garden Member members using discounted tickets.
- Pets are not allowed, except for working guide and service dogs.
- Masks are welcome, particularly in smaller indoor activity areas.
- Some vendors accept only cash.
On-Site / Stage Information
- The event is wheelchair accessible.
- Plenty of food vendors are available on-site.
- Guests are encouraged to share event photos using #SDJF and #VanCherryBlossomFest and tag @japanfair @vancherryblossomfest.
Outside the Venue
- Parking is extremely limited. Public transit, walking, or biking is highly encouraged.
- VanDusen Garden is on the #17 Oak bus route and is a 15-minute walk from Oakridge Canada Line station.
- Once the parking lot is full, street parking in nearby neighborhoods is the only option.
- There is no bicycle valet, but limited unattended bike racks are available.
- A passenger drop-off zone is available off Oak Street.
Other Information
- The event will take place regardless of weather conditions.
- Attendees should plan their arrival to avoid missing their designated entry time.
- Guests must arrive within their assigned ticket window; early lining up is discouraged.
