Immerse yourself in the timeless craft of Karesansui, the Japanese art of dry landscape gardening, where nature’s beauty is expressed through the careful arrangement of rocks, sand, and other natural elements. This hands-on workshop is guided by the Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association (VJGA), an organization that focuses on strengthening and uniting local communities through special gardening events. Workshop participants will learn how to craft your own Japanese dry rock garden. All materials are provided, including a box, a 5-piece rake set, sand, stones, and moss, so whether you're a beginner or a garden enthusiast, you can enjoy the meditative process of designing your miniature landscape.
